Google and Apple announced recently that they are working together on a standardized system to let all of our phone help us track the spread of Corona virus.
Reading the details about how this would work has been inspiring. Not just because it could help life return to normal much much faster. But it’s also a really smart and creative use of the technology we already have and solves problem.
So much of what’s been getting me down lately is just how boring and self serving tech has been lately. When I was a kid there was so much talk about how technology was going to change the world for the better. Yet today most of what’s being released and worked is considered harmful and a fun distraction at best
But this idea is different. With this idea instead of inadvertently creating more anxiety with our technology we can instead push the anxiety to the technology and in theory let us all sleep a little better at night
